Basics of using the Ouija Board

Two or more people are recommended for using the Ouija board - and one should take notes.
First of all make sure everyone who is present would like to participate in the seance. Do not involve anyone who is under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. If anyone is overly skeptical its always a good idea to remove them from the room. If anyone is frightened or worried, don't try to convince them to stay, tell them to leave or put them in another room away from the seance.
The third person has the most important job. TAKE NOTES! Write down everything the board spells out next to the corresponding questions.
The reason I say take notes rather than tape record or videotape it, is because my personal experience is that electronic devices interfere with your connection. Which brings us to some strange condition…
Turn off all electronic devices. Spirit energy seems to be made up of electronic impulses, and having any electronics on may block that energy from communicating. This includes televisions, radios, computers, cameras, tape decks, etc.

  1. Place your fingers on the planchette. You and your partner should place the fingers of both hands very lightly on the planchette, or pointer.
  2. Move it. Purposely move the planchette around in a circle on the board for a moment or two to get it 'warmed up.'
  3. Let your fingers do the talking by lightly placing your fingertips on the planchette. Do not force the movement of the planchette, if it isn't responding to a light touch no one is there, give it time, or there is not enough psychic energy being generated try to focus on a single question or meditate on the spirit you are attempting to contact. Try to clear your mind and relax. Ask in general if there are any spirits present, ask them to respond, and relax and wait, patience is the key.
  4. Begin simply. Start with a simple question, one that requires a yes or no answer.
  5. Don't ask stupid questions. Avoid questions such as, 'When am I going to die?' If the board answers, 'in 6 months,' you might just worry about it needlessly.
  6. Don't believe everything the board tells you. Just as with any other source of information, don't accept whatever the board says to be the truth or accurate.
  7. Close the board. This is an important step. When you're done with your session, slide the planchette to 'GOODBYE' and remove your hands.
  8. Never remove the hands until the spirit goes.
